BACKGROUND

 

In 2007, Moran graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. He made several Indian friends and his regular discussions about India convinced him that it was a land of business opportunities.

In 2009, Moran started his career as an investment banker with Fieldstone Private Capital Group in the US. Sustainability being Moran’s favorite area, he went to work within the Cleantech domain for the investment bank, which had a strong focus on India. The large scale Indian projects that he was working on were affected by the highly bureaucratic culture in the country and hence the pace of progress was very slow. This experience brought Moran closer to the Indian growth story. His frustrating experiences with the bureaucratic culture prompted him to think of other similarly large opportunities in the technology space. His experience in India brought him closer to the loose-ends in the Indian system and the infrastructural gaps. He developed an interest in India and gathered knowledge about the economic opportunities in the country...
